I will never be the same since the tragic events of Sept 11
in New York and Washington. This photograph was taken in October
from the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge. This view of
Manhattan was dominated by the towers prior to Sept 11. The
glow you see is from the lights guiding the recovery efforts
at Ground Zero.
I pray for a worldwide acceptance of religious and cultural
differences among all people. Peace on Earth.
In
February, 2006 Dan celebrated his six year anniversary of Jpeg
Of The Week. The weekly picture is sent to dan's personal list
every week via an e-mail link to www.jpegoftheweek.com
. At jpegoftheweek.com the viewer has options to go to other recommended
links that are continuously changing. Dan credits this weekly
e-mail for keeping up the traffic at straightshooter.com. Click

In October, 2001, Dan installed "International Toy Camera Images"
In Manhattan's Jade Lounge. It was an opportunity for dan to show
off images he has captured from nine different countries. Dan
has been shooting with The Diana toy camera since 1997. "The primitive
camera pushes the photographer to use the basic principles of
photography, lighting and composition, to create images". Morgan
uses modern digital equipment daily to create and manipulate his
commercial images.
Dan's continued relationship with Sotheby's Auction House in NY
has opened the door for him to meet many of his favorite entertainers
from his past and today. Steven Van Zant has reinvented himself
from lead guitar for Bruce Springsteen to a star of The Sopranos
on HBO.
David cassidy's work for kidscharities.org has kept him in the
limelight. Dan recalls watching the Partridge family religiously
as a kid.
Dan enjoys occasionally showing his wares at local street
fairs. This picture was taken at Athens Square Park in Astoria,
Queens. "There's not allot of money in this kind of thing
but I just love telling my story to people on the street".
Dan is still in touch with Gwyneth Paltrow, shown here
after a visit to Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital in
Cleveland.
